Arkansas Adds Pair Of Tennessee Teammates For 2020

Arkansas Defensive coordinator, John Chavis, used his Tennessee connections to reel in a couple of playmakers out of the Volunteer State.

Tyrece Edwards and Drew Francis of Knoxville-West High School of Tennessee have committed to the Arkansas Razorbacks for the class of 2020. Francis (6’2 200) is a linebacker and Edwards (6’3 240) are key commitments for the Hogs depth going into next season. 

Francis had offers from Arkansas State, Arizona, Memphis, Texas A&M, Purdue and Vanderbilt before committing to the Razorbacks. As a sophomore in 2017, he recorded 91 tackles and was a force in the backfield of opposing backfields.

Edwards had a solid 2017 and received offers from Tulane, Arizona, Missouri, Indiana and Arkansas before committing. This is the first pair of teammates to commit for the Hogs in 2020.

The Hogs rise from 41 to 32 in the national composite rankings on 247sports.
