Pig Trail Network’s, Ty Hudson says, “(Ty’Kieast) Crawford is the best offensive lineman on paper that Arkansas has landed in years. He is big time.”
Arkansas has struggled along the offensive line since graduating their three best lineman. That line was considered “the biggest offensive line in all of football.” Well, after an up and down 8-5 season, the Hogs have struggled to find consistency at each line position.
Crawford has the ability to pancake his defender regularly and at the Texas high school level he is a solid pass blocker as well. Arkansas has been hot on his tail since November. That shows as Crawford has been committed for a month but wanted to hold off until after the season to announce. Apparently, coaches Fry and Morris stayed on him about committing now. It looks to have paid off. He is a 6’6 320 pound tackle and his top five schools were Arkansas, Texas A&M, LSU, Ole Miss and Baylor.
2020 tight end, Allen Horace is another junior prospect that the Hogs have been pursuing heavily. Horace is a 6’5 242 pound two-sport athlete who also plays basketball at a high level. He chose Arkansas over Nebraska, Baylor, Oklahoma State and Texas Tech. Out of Crockett, Texas the two sport athlete displays the “It factor” and hopes to make his hometown proud. As a junior, Horace had 29 catches for 468 yards and 9 touchdowns, and led his school’s basketball team by averaging 16 points, 12.5 rebounds, 2.4 blocks and 1.1 steals per game.
Horace: 838th overall player in the country, 28th tight end and 117th ranked player in Texas.
Crawford: 257th overall player in the country, 24th offensive tackle and 40th ranked player in Texas.
