A Dream Come True: White Commits To Dream School

John David White is not your average preferred walk-on, Razorback Legacy. He has many connections with a great family history at the University of Arkansas with an uncle, grandfather and great-grandfather all playing football, his father was a golfer, an aunt that was a cheerleader.
When asked about this big opportunity White replied, “It feels amazing! A Weight lifted off of my shoulders to say the least!”
Why not Arkansas for Mr. White?
“To me the offer means a lot because all growing up, I went to Razorback games and I would talk with my dad how cool it would be to get the opportunity to play for the Hogs and run through that A,” said White. “So now, for me to get the chance to do that…. is kind of surreal!”
White wanted his chance to play for his dream in-state school and he received it. Growing up in Arkansas, seeing guys like Darren McFadden, Matt Jones, Ryan Mallet, Tony Bua, Joe Adams, Dennis Johnson, Dre Greenlaw, Jarius Wright, Greg Childs, Chris Gragg, D.J. Williams and the many, many more Arkansas kids that dreamed of donning that Razorback Red is amazing. That is what it is all about. Arkansas is always at its best when their best in-state players stay home to play in Fayetteville.
“The UofA fulfills that “College Football” experience. The loyalty of the fans, the famous traditions like the Hog Call and the Hog Walk, the hype around every game for the players, and also the coaches and how they’ve changed the atmosphere around the program and campus is what I like the most,” said White during an interview with Arkansas Hog Pen back in October.
This is a special talent that Arkansas gained. He will not let Razorback Nation down!
White finished his 2018 season at Pulaski Academy with 86 receptions, 1732 yards 20 yards per catch and 30 TDs. Big time numbers for an underrated talent. May Arkansas be blessed with his talents for the next four years!
Woo freakin’ pig!
