On the Trail: 4 Star Wideout, Trey Knox


This edition of On the Trail is with Trey Knox of Blackman High School in Murfreesboro, TN. He currently is headed a 0.9226 by the 247sports.com composite scoring system that combines all the recruiting websites rankings into a total score. Knox is 6’5 and 215 pounds and is ranked as the 192nd player nationally, the 28th ranked receiver and the 6th ranked player in the state of Tennessee. He committed to Arkansas ok October 1, 2018 with offers from Tennessee, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, LSY, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Virginia Tech, Ohio State, Notre Dame and others. Here’s a quick rundown of the another elite 2019 receiver that is committed to the Hogs. Enjoy the interview!
Jacob: Trey, thank you very much for joining me in this short interview. I’m happy that you have decided to talk with us today!
Jacob: You are a big bodied, physical receiver. Many people would even say you’re a freak of nature at WR. What do you believe is the key parts in your game?
Trey: The key parts of my game are I am a physical receiver and I have great hands and crisp routes.
Jacob: What drew you to Arkansas the most?
Trey: Definitely the coaching staff and the offense drew me close to the school. The fans made it better
Jacob: Morris has a fantastic record as an offensive genius. How do you see yourself fitting in the offense?
Trey: They have a great family atmosphere. I’m happy I’m going to be apart of the offense to show that I am a high caliber football player!
Jacob: Why Arkansas, Trey? What does the university have for you? What would you say to recruits that say Arkansas, “Why Arkansas?”
Trey: Why Arkansas? If they want to feel like it is a huge family, then come right ahead (to Arkansas). They want to be apart of something special then (Arkansas) is the place.
Jacob: Arkansas is currently 2-7. How much of an impact do you believe the 2019 class will have on the future of Razorback football?
Trey: This class is the beginning of the rebuild. The ‘19 class is the key to making Arkansas great. We have very good players in this class and we are going to be something everyone is going to want to see.
Jacob: Will Arkansas return to being contenders in the SEC by 2020 or 2021?
Trey: If it goes as planned we will be at the top of the SEC!
